This is a trip that shows Guatemalas most iconic places in the highlands.
Day 1
Welcome to Guatemala Airport and transfer to Antigua Guatemala. This can vary on the arrival time or if the meet and greet happens in Antigua. Overnight in Antigua.
Day 2
8:00 am Transfer to Antigua or start in Antigua to enjoy the adventure of a great Zip line 2 hours total. Then return to the center of town to take walking tour through Antigua´s cobblestoned streets. Overnight in Antigua.
Day 3
Free morning in Antigua.
2:00 pm Transfer to Lake Atitlán. Overnight in Atitlán.
Day 4
8:00 Transfer by boat to San Juan La Laguna, visit to Maya Tzutujil entrepeneur women who are organized by cooperatives and visit to painters cooperative. Transfer to Santiago Atitlán to enjoy of a delicious lunch and visit of Maximó´s temple, get to see the local catholic church full of history and sincreticity. There will be a time for shopping from local artisans. Accommodation in Atitlán.
Day 5
8:00 am Transfer by boat to a Kayaking center. Use of kayaks with a guide, enjoy lunch (included). It takes 3 hours approximately.
3:00 pm Transfer to Chichicastenango to appreciate the way "Masheños" (local people), start preparing their stands for the next day of market. Overnight in Chichicastenango.
Day 6
8:00 am Tour to Chichicastenango, including: visit to the coloful local cementery and get inmersed on the local cultural and religious demonstrations at a unique graveyard, take a visit to the vegetables market, Santo Tomás church (where Pop Wuj was translated from quiché to spanish). Then, take a time for shopping and visiting the artisans market, before or after lunch. There is a special mass service every Sunday at 8:30 half in Spanish half in Quiché.
3:00 pm Transfer from Chichicastenango to Antigua, Guatemala City or La Aurora International Aiport.
