Saint Francis Church and ruins

One of the most visited and active churches in Antigua, it is visited by thousands of people each year, many seeking healing at the tomb of Brother Peter of Betancourt. It once housed a Franciscan monastery that now lies in ruins. On weekends it becomes a place where Guatemalans and tourists enjoy sampling traditional foods - street style- and shop for handicrafts.
