If you plan to pass by Santiago Atitlán, don´t skip a visit to Rilaj M´aam, as it´s known by locals. Maximón is one of the foremost venerated dieties in Guatemala.  To Spiritual Guides, all the rituals mean materialized faith but for some christians it is considered paganism.
